Privacy Policy

Plandit (“we,” “us”) provides an event-scheduling app at getplandit.com and on iOS/Android. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, and a display name you provide. We use passwordless sign-in (an emailed link, or approval from your own registered device) — we never see or store a password.
• Event and guest information: events you create (title, time, location zip code, description, cost, and any flyer image you upload), and the name/email of anyone you invite.
• Push notification data: if you use our mobile app and enable notifications, we store a device push token so we can deliver sign-in approvals and event updates to your device.
• Anonymous event creation: if you create an event without signing in, we store a hashed version of your IP address briefly, solely to prevent abuse (rate-limiting repeated submissions) — it is never linked to your event or used to identify you.
• Technical data: standard request logs (e.g. IP address, device/browser type) collected automatically by our hosting providers for security and reliability.

How we use this information

We use your information to operate the core features of Plandit: creating and managing events, sending invitations and RSVP requests, notifying you of responses and schedule changes, and authenticating your sign-in. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that operate Plandit on our behalf, and only as needed to run those services: our database and authentication provider, our web hosting provider, our email and push-notification delivery providers, and Apple/Google’s push notification services for mobile devices. We don’t share your information with any other third party, and none of these providers may use it for their own purposes.

Your choices

You can edit your name and event details at any time while signed in. To request that we delete your account and associated data, contact us using the email below — we’ll process deletion requests within a reasonable time, except where information must be retained for legal or security reasons.

Children’s privacy

Plandit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
